This prestigious recognition was presented by the Mayor of Petaling Jaya, Haji Mohamad Zahri bin Haji Samingon of Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) to recognise and celebrate organisations and spaces that champion child-friendly principles, fostering inclusivity, safety, and engagement for children and families alike.
This award is a key initiative under MBPJ’s efforts to maintain Petaling Jaya’s status as Malaysia’s first city recognised by UNICEF as a Child-Friendly City, a global initiative that acknowledges urban spaces that place children’s well-being, rights, and development at the heart of their urban planning and community services.
