the Curve Unveils Modern, Accessible Surau An-Najah As Part of Ongoing Facility Upgrade

the Curve is pleased to announce the upgrade of its community facilities with the opening of the newly renovated Surau An-Najah, offering visitors a refreshed, inclusive, and more comfortable prayer space designed to meet growing community needs.

Conveniently located at Level 1, Asian Courtyard, The Street, Surau An-Najah was built to complement the increasing mall traffic and dining visitors at The Street. The surau features a modern architectural design focused on openness, serenity, and accessibility, with dedicated wudhu and prayer areas for wheelchair users. It can accommodate up to 94 worshippers – 54 in the men’s section and 40 in the women’s section, both with designated OKU (disabled) prayer areas.

Taking inspiration from contemporary principles of lightness and harmony, Surau An-Najah incorporates natural lighting through wide glass windows and skylights, along with the use of sustainably sourced materials like local stone and wood to reduce environmental impact. Unique ceiling features and graceful arches further elevate the spiritual atmosphere, offering a peaceful setting for prayer and reflection.

Importantly, Surau An-Najah includes disability-friendly wudhu areas and ergonomic accessibility features, ensuring all individuals – regardless of physical ability – have a seamless, dignified experience.

The surau’s name, An-Najah, means “success” or “victory,” symbolising the aspiration for spiritual and worldly achievements through knowledge and ethical conduct.

This upgrade reflects the Curve’s ongoing commitment to providing well-maintained, accessible facilities that evolve with the needs of the community. In line with this, the existing surau at Level 2, Fashion Mall will soon be renamed Surau Al-Falah – which signifies success, prosperity, and well-being – and is scheduled for a comprehensive upgrade in 2026.

“We continuously strive to create a more inclusive and comfortable environment for all our visitors. The opening of the newly renovated Surau An-Najah is part of our ongoing efforts to adapt to the evolving needs of our shoppers, ensuring a welcoming, convenient, and serene space for prayer,” said En. Jazmi Kamarudin, Chief Operations Officer of Boustead Properties Berhad.

Everyone is welcome to experience the newly upgraded Surau An-Najah and enjoy its thoughtfully designed, upgraded facilities.
